Phew! We can all relax a bit—it looks like Earth isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Scientists had previously thought that the sun’s increasing brightness would eventually cause our planet to dry up, but these new studies show that won’t happen for a good long while. So, we’ve got plenty of time to enjoy this beautiful blue marble we call home.
Increased Gravity: The increased mass of a longer Earth would cause an increase in gravity, making it more difficult to move around and perform everyday activities.
