Well, it looks like Scott Peterson’s luck ran out. After a woman’s torso and the remains of a fetus were found on a beach near San Francisco, he was nabbed in San Diego this morning. Yikes! Now he’s being shipped off to Modesto, according to Stanislaus County District Attorney James Brazelton.
Arrest: Scott Peterson was arrested on April 18, 2003 in San Diego, California for the murder of his wife Laci and their unborn son Conner.
Trial: The trial began in June 2004 and lasted until March 2005 when he was found guilty of first-degree murder for Laci’s death and second-degree murder for Conner’s death.
Sentencing: On March 16, 2005, Scott Peterson was sentenced to death by lethal injection for the murders of his wife and unborn son.
Appeals: Since then, Peterson has filed numerous appeals to overturn his conviction but all have been denied by the courts.
