Well, Zabka was a total newbie when it came to karate before The Karate Kid. But with Pat Johnson’s help, he picked up the moves pretty quickly. In fact, he got so good that he eventually earned a second-degree green belt - not too shabby!
Karate Kid: William Zabka is best known for his role as Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 classic movie The Karate Kid. He played the antagonist to Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel LaRusso, and was a skilled martial artist in the film.
Martial Arts Training: Zabka has trained in various martial arts disciplines since he was a child, including karate, judo, and tae kwon do. He has also studied Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing more recently.
Acting Career: In addition to his role in The Karate Kid, Zabka has appeared in numerous other films and television shows over the years including The Equalizer, How I Met Your Mother, Hot Tub Time Machine 2 and many more.
